This Shape Sliders Play Panel

Description

This Shape Slider Play Panel

The This Shape Slider Play Panel is an interactive, next-generation educational resource designed to help children recognise and match different geometric shapes through engaging, hands-on play. Building on the success of the popular “This Shape is a…” panel, this updated version introduces a more dynamic sliding mechanism to enhance interaction and learning.

Children are encouraged to slide the five large shape discs across the panel and match each shape to its correct name. This simple but effective activity helps reinforce shape recognition, spelling of shape names, and understanding of basic geometry concepts in a fun and accessible way.

The sliding action adds an extra layer of engagement, supporting fine motor skill development, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving as children carefully move each disc into the correct position. It also promotes independent learning as well as group interaction, encouraging discussion and collaboration between children as they work to complete the challenge.

Constructed from durable HDPE, the panel is designed for long-lasting use in outdoor environments such as playgrounds, schools, and early years settings. It is weather-resistant, low maintenance, and built to withstand frequent daily interaction. The smooth sliding discs are designed to move effortlessly, ensuring an enjoyable and frustration-free user experience. The panel can be either wall-mounted or post-mounted, providing flexibility for different play space layouts.

The This Shape Slider Play Panel transforms shape learning into an active, engaging game that strengthens early maths skills while encouraging curiosity, communication, and interactive play.
